stores and Kiosk. But maps written in English will be available at large
bookshops.
As for free maps for sightseeing purpose, please ask at your hotel.
“Chizu” means map in Japanese.
At large bookshops, Chizu written in English can be found at Chizu section,
foreign book section or sightseeing book section.
When you want to get a map of Tokyo written in English, you say
“ Tokyo-no-eigo-no-chizu.”
Today, it is usual to use, at free of charge, the maps of Japan and those
for districts being provided by the map companies on the Internet.
